Clinical Supervision

As a young counselor, fresh out of school, I was lucky to have my clinical supervision provided through the agency I was working for at the time.  Looking back on that experience though, I realize that my "supervision" time felt more administrative and less about cultivating my growth as a therapist.  Since then, I've had the opportunity to understand truly how impactful good quality clinical supervision can have on the day to day work we do clients.  That's why I've made it a goal of mine to provide clinical supervision to students and licensed clinicians working toward their independent licensure or supervisory credential.

I see my role as a supervisor as being a guide and creating a safe place to explore your questions, insecurities and needs as a developing counselor.  I know how vulnerable it can feel to admit to not having all the answers as a young therapist and I respect the process of working collaboratively to find them together.  I'd describe my style as supportive and yet I understand the importance of challenging my supervisees to move outside of their comfort zone.

If you think you'd like to talk more about working together for individual or group supervision, feel free to reach out to me for a FREE 15 minute consultation.  I'm currently hosting monthly group supervision and meet regularly with professionals and student interns for weekly individual counseling.
